I try to find out why, but can get no answer from the Mini or Home app. Just a minute ago I asked it “Why is your left light on? ”, and it told me about a town in Montana, I think, and that it was the only town who’s population had gone down between the last two census reports. I had no idea these lights existed & am super curious as to why dog tags jingling made them come on. The reset button is the only way to reset Google Home Mini. It seems this software or firmware bug was eventually squashed, but your Nest Mini still might become disconnected from your phone or device. The most common cause is simply distance and walls; if you’ve gone too far from your Mini with your smartphone, or put walls between you, the connection can drop.
